I just wanted to take this opportunity to clench wrists with ye all in greeting and say hello from a south-easterly shire of England!

I have been an observer on this forum for quite a while so I thought it fair time to introduce myself. Why? Because I have nearly finished ‘Elminster must die!’, and once again Mr Greenwood has hauled me into the realms with this exceptional book. I am an avid reader of all things Realmslore, including the majority of the novels, from being towed along at pace by Richard Baker in the Moonsea region, to laughing my way through the vine choked paths of Rosemary’s Père Lachaise style City of the Dead in Waterdeep. But it is with Ed Greenwood’s latest masterpiece that finally poked, prodded and punched me to vocalise myself here.

My first steps, and dwarven ones at that (and have been ever-since) came 19 years ago when I, with family and friends gathered, entered into AD&D's The Caves of Chaos.

So, greetings to ye all and thank you for all the valuable interpretations and remarks that I have taken away from this friendly little den over the winters.

Cheers,
--Shadowaxe

Welcome to Candlekeep!

Feel free to ask any questions you may have... A lot of us have been Realms fans for years, and we know a thing or three about the setting. Plus, we've got some of the authors and creators here!

As for the rest of us, we are friendly, mostly harmless, and occasionally strange... Enjoy your stay!

Greetings from a another recent lurker. Candlekeep is a fantastic compilation of Realmslore, far more comprehensive and accurate than what the (WotC) historians teach the young these days.
