Hullo to you! After spending countless hours browsing the contents of Candlekeep on and off over the last few years, I'd thought it high time to register and formally introduce myself now that I can barely bring myself to ever leave.

While some might see me as young, I'm a rather rampant "Realms" enthusiast, and have been submersing myself in its tales for years. This being the case, I was ecstatic to find that Candlekeep housed not only an impressive collection of lore, but a constantly active community that shares the same love.

I'm looking forward to meeting all of you, losing myself in pages of your content, and hopefully bringing something to the table myself one day!

Bran thought about it. "Can a man still be brave if he's afraid?"

"That is the only time a man can be brave," his father told him.

Welcome, Enwy, to the mass of information that may (or may not) cause you brain damage.

Welcome to Candlekeep!

Feel free to ask any questions you may have... A lot of us have been Realms fans for years, and we know a thing or three about the setting. Plus, we've got some of the authors and creators here!

As for the rest of us, we are friendly, mostly harmless, and occasionally strange... Enjoy your stay!

Thank you for the warm welcome, everyone! I welcome the brain damage and/or impending insanity! ...I think.

...Yep, I still welcome it!

Ooo, another vict---I mean, um...friend. Pop in to the Inn for some odd RP some time. You're only on the menu if you want to be.

Cool excerpt from Martin, BTW. Not my favorite author (just from the little I've sampled), but a beautiful bit of quote there, and much in keeping with C.S. Lewis' autobiography Surprised by Joy (which I absolutely love, lol). Oh, and Tolkien's On Fairy-Stories (another favorite ).

"Your 'reality,' sir, is lies and balderdash, and I'm delighted to say that I have no grasp of it whatsoever." (Baron Munchausen)
"If I find in myself a desire which no experience in this world can satisfy, the most probable explanation is that I was not made for this world." (C.S. Lewis, "Surprised by Joy")
