New quiz, Salvatore-philes....

First prize is a nymph familiar!

1) (hard-without looking)How many scimitars does Drizzt carry at the beginning of Sojourn?

2) (hard) What does he do with it?

3) (easy) What animal does Cadderly most identify with (for some reason)?

4) (easy) What is the standard of Clan Battlehammer?

5) What is the name of Berkthgar's weapon?

Good Luck!

My latest Realms-based short story, about a bard, a paladin of Lathander and the letter of the law, Debts Repaid. It takes place before the "shattering" and gives the bard Arion a last gasp before he plunges into the present.http://candlekeep.com/campaign/logs/log-debts.htm

You realize, of course, that the second question gives away the answer to the first.

Damn you Thomas M Reid! That is a violation of Candlekeep code 8156 B....pointing out a bard's stupidity!!!!!

Wow....I am a moron. I should be stripped naked a quartered......

At any rate...

1) one (point for Thomas M Reid)
2) no one has correctly answered it yet
3) squirrel (point for Rad)
4) A foaming mug (another point for Rad)
5) no one has correctly answered it yet

so we still have the conundrum of what Drizzt did with his remaining scimitar (hint, it had lost all of its magic and thus was no use to him), and what Berkthgar's weapon's name was (hint, it was a massive claymore so huge he had to slit the sheath so that he could draw it...it's a hard to pronounce barbarian name).

Keep trying to figure it out while I go soak my head in brine for my blatant moronic behavior......

I'm sure he had 2 scimitars at the beginning of the book. The sprite stole one of them and left it at the farmers house to frame Drizzt for murdering them.

2- The second one was broken while he was fighting with giants but before that there was a bounty hunter chasing him. Drizzt killed him dog if I remember right and beat him. He caused a major wound on the bounty hunter's face.

Sorry....what I was eluding to was the scimitar that Drizzt pitched over the cliff in the very beginning...sorry for the confusion.

Any thoughts on Berkthgar's weapon? It begins with a B...

Ok if it makes you feel better we will quarter you but leave your clothes on.
I have no idea on the sword!!!!

YEA ARIVIA!!!! Well done! Huzzah and kudos!

Indeed, Berkthgar's weapon was called Bankenfeure - Flame of the North.

I think Arivia should win the nymph familiar....she got the hardest one.....
