Hi all,
I do not know if this is the correct forum to start this, but I've been searching for any forum about the excellent series from the PC early 90's (well better than saying from 2 decades ago, yesn't?), is this it? Or could anyone pls point me in the right direction...
Anyways... I have a savegame file from EOB 1 (right before killing THE Beholder) and a few from EOB2. Am I the only one who kept these?
Depending on the answers, I will ask more stuff, mainly out of curiosity... See ya!

EDIT: Errr... what if I did not know the answer to the anti-spam question regarding Shadowdale (Elminster)? I took a shot at it and it worked...

Well met, desbois.
I don't know which D&D CRPG you're referring to (there's been quite a few), but you could try looking for it on this wikipedia list.
Many of these classic games have been re-released (new software engines) or patched, to allow compatibility with more modern gnomish computing machinery - most also offer content "modules" which allow the same game engine to play different stories and adventures. I really don't know much about CRPGs, but you can learn a lot by reading some of the scrolls found within Candlekeep's Forgotten Realms Computer Software shelf. |

It's a preventative measure against spy-bots and others internet nasties.
Besides, if you were a legitimate scribe looking for potential entry into these halls, either myself, Wooly, or Alaundo, would be on-hand to assist, should you have been unaware of the answer to the Registry-question process. |

| Actually, I kinda like the random CAPTCHA challenges. Well, mostly I hate them, they're really annoying, and sometimes so paranoid they're nearly impossible to decipher on the first attempt. But what I do like about CAPTCHAs is their potential to generate random gibberishy words/terms which can be stolen for use as passwords or cool-sounding D&D command words. CAPTCHAs also have the incidental bonus of denying entry to (most) automated spammerbots. |
