Didn't really know where to write this at CandleKeep.
Today's Gary Gygax's birthday. Although dead he was a very important person to all d&d gamers as he was one of the founding fathers.
Happy Birthday Gary Gygax - you will live forever through the work you've done.

I have a Demotivational calendar I got from ThinkGeek... It notates his birthday, and lists him as a Neutral Good Human Fighter-Mage.

By an odd coincidence, it's the 4th anniversary of me losing all of my stuff in a fire -- which includes one metric buttload of D&D material.

Happy Birthday, Mr. Gygax. You're missed, and all you accomplished and created endures still, delighting all of us, and teaching us all that it's never too late to imagine, and to dream.

Happy belated bday Mr Gygax! Roll those 20's in heaven!

"These things also I have observed: that knowledge of our world is
to be nurtured like a precious flower, for it is the most precious
thing we have. Wherefore guard the word written and heed
words unwritten and set them down ere they fade . . . Learn
then, well, the arts of reading, writing, and listening true, and they
will lead you to the greatest art of all: understanding."

Happy Birthday, Mr. Gygax.

I wish you were still around to celebrate it, as many others do as well.

Happy Birthday Gary...thanks for giving me a life!

No joke, had it not been for Dungeons and Dragons, I would have devolved into a life of violence and crime just like most of the rest of my family.

All hail the Chief!
