...at least for the time being. Another trip to the east may be likely within the next few days (or weeks).
Anyway, I thought I'd just drop this little note on Alaundo's desk informing him of my return, and asking for the reinstatement of my duties here at Candlekeep.
Alaundo, I apologise for my lengthy absence (much longer than I had originally forecast), but a number of things kept me away longer than I expected (namely, an unofficial version of GenCon based in Australia...it's really just an excuse for hundreds of RPG'ers to get together and game). For the short interval of time between now and my next (possibly) lengthly departure, I request to have my duties here at Candlekeep returned to me.
Oh, and Bookwyrm, you did a remarkable job in my absence...
Thanks.

"'We'?" Boowyrm's harried-looking face pops up from behind a mountain of scrolls. "Here, you take this!" He shoves the entire pile off of his desk. "I've got exams next week." |

Welcome back, good sage...I put your office to good use while you were gone... |
My latest Realms-based short story, about a bard, a paladin of Lathander and the letter of the law, Debts Repaid. It takes place before the "shattering" and gives the bard Arion a last gasp before he plunges into the present.http://candlekeep.com/campaign/logs/log-debts.htm |

*The Cardinal walks up to sage, and hands him a Celestial summoning book* Welcome back but next time you leave please put these books of the celestial kingdoms away ... and mark them ... I thought this was a book on Demon lore and summonings and ended up summoning a Solar instead ..... Oh... How did I get your summoning book? ...Uhhh.. I was just holding it for you.. yeah... Umm gotta go... *quickly runs off into the the mass of bookshelves, and scroll cases as a rather irate Solar shows up...* |
It has to be Certain, the Gods Hate Me. For whatever irrevokable Fate, I have been made the walking Joke. Either that, or Beshaba is overlyfond Of Me. -Unknown |

| Silently standing slightly to the left of the room, watching Cardinal(in invisible mode) after Cardinal leaves, there is a whisper on the wind "I believe he needs to punished. Check the lower halls. There is some fireball damage. I know not why he had the book but you can bet it was ill work." Slence falls upon the room as if someone had left. |
'May all your days be filled with faery magick.' 'It wasn't me, I swear.' 'There is neither evil or good. There is only me.' |
