In the month of July, I have read Forsaken House, Farthest Reach, and Final Gate of the Last Mythal Trilogy, the last book of the Empyrean Odyssey Trilogy, the Crystal Mountain, and Downshadow.

Rosemary, I have read all of your FR novels and enjoyed them all.

I love the personal touch of you (and other authors) coming on the forum and providing feedback.

I have never experienced that before and think it is awesome!

I really wish I had found Candlekeep Forum back in 2006 when I first started reading FR novels.

Candlekeep is a great forum and a wealth of knowledge!

(There is so much knowledge here in the forum, I feel almost stressed out - in a good way - trying to catch-up with all of the lore and what not.)

Not reading any Realms novels at the moment... I'm currently rereading Faerie Tale, then I'm going to dip back into BattleTech for the first time in a couple of years by going thru Wolves on the Border and Wolf Pack (I love the Dragoons!). After that, I'll hit the Lord of the Rings for the first time since the first movie came out. At least, this is the tentative short-term reading list.

But I am going to be reading something Realms-related! I'm not big on rereading sourcebooks, but I've decided to reread Secrets of the Magister. I'll prolly go into Planescape after that.

Re-reading my way through Robert Jordan's "Wheel of Time."

It's interesting how much my opinion of his earlier books has changed this time around. I didn't particularly care for Eye of the World or The Great Hunt when I first read them. But now, years later, I'm actually starting to enjoy the "roughness" of his early work.

Also trying to read Champions of Ruin while waiting for my copy of The Rebellion Era Campaign Guide to arrive.

Took me between early April and last week - with seven or eight other books "on the side" at the same time

There is a rumour going around that I have found god. I think is unlikely because I have enough difficulty finding my keys, and there is empirical evidence that they exist.

I finished the first two books in a little under a week. But that's because I set aside just about everything else I should've been reading as well -- like comics, non-fiction books, and magazines.

Now starting Azure Bonds (Finder's Stone Trilogy Book 1). Makes a very good first impression so far.

Heh. I've also decided to make audio-recordings of myself reading them (for my own private needs - I listen to a lot of books at work), and something tells me that at my current rate of one chapter a day, it's going to take a loooong time before I'm done. Also - "Cairhienin" is a lot more difficult to pronounce once you've had three glasses of wine.

I actually tried doing something like that for my reading of all the Tolkien books. But I couldn't get through most of the pronunciations in The Silmarillion .

Finished up Prince of Lies last night and thought it was excellent. It's unfortunate that I have no more Lowder books to read that take place in the realms. The only thing that disappointed me was that Manshoon was nowhere to be seen, but I did love the little cameo appearance from Kaveron Ebonhand.

Next up is Crucible.

At the moment I am so behind in reading but am in the middle of the Erevis Cale trilogy by Paul Kemp. Finished Twilight Falling and moving on to Dawn of Night.
Kemp is fast becoming one of my favorite authors. I have read most of the short stories but I still have to locate one in an old issue of Dragon Magazine.

Just finished The Crystal Mountain......great start....rushed and dissapointing ending.
After reading this and being let down, I looked over at my shelf with every pre-spellplague novel, I realized how much I enjoyed everyone and realized how much $ I could save if I just started re-reading them from the start. So that's it. This was my last new FR novel (except any Ed may scribe) and it left me wanting more, so I choose to step back in time to a place where I felt better about the realms!

Hi all. I've been following this forum for a couple of years.

I will support the Realms regardless the edition number and the changes. When I read a post-Spellplague novel I really do feel different - the mood is different. However, it's still the world I love. There are some authors whose works I will follow, like Paul S. Kemp, Richard Lee Byers, Mark Sehestedt, James P. Davies... and RAS (yes, yes, he was my "first" ;), it's a matter of being sentimental). What I like about the Realms is how they constantly change, evolve - they're a living setting.

I've just finished "The Pirate King". I was greatly impressed.

That made me wonder how many I've read. I come up with 54, mostly from the first four years and the last two years. And I've bought around 40 in the last year sprinkled along the timeline that I'm working my way through.

My Realms novel, Sandstorm, is now available for ordering.

60 and 1/2 (currently reading Downshadow) Realms novels read.

29 awaiting to be read.

My collection is still growing.

Read them all but 2.

Plague of Spells and City of the Dead.

Anyone have a guess or know how many novels there are currently?

Next up, I think I will pull out all of Elaine's and re-read those!
