Very nice .
I particularly liked both Warforged images, although I found myself thinking of the steamjacks from the Iron Kingdoms setting when I first looked over the Warforged (Huge).
The treant is interesting, but I don't think I'll be desparately seeking one. My GW 'Ents' will work alot better for when I want tree-creatures in my miniatures campaigns.

I've read somewhere they plan to release 6 Huge Uncommons and 6 Huge Rares... can't remember where though... All I know is that there will be one Huge fig per box... so you could end up with several Fire Giants if they are indeed Uncommon... (yay!) |

Yes, I vaguely remember these. They're a carry-over from a similar concept from the PS setting.
Since I don't have the Miniatures Handbook is anyone willing to provide some basic details about the Protectar.

They are faultlessly moral in all their dealings, and are generally more concerned with the welfare of mortals than other celestials. Their graceful bodies and elaborate dress mark protectars as support combatants; protectars are caregivers first and combatants second.
CR 2; medium sized good outsiders. |

Looking over what you've just written, I now see that they are indeed the same creatures from the PS setting, just with a different name...
its about time they brought out some more Good outsiders, my poor Hound Archon was feeling rather threatened surrounded by Vrocks, Erinyes, Aspect of Bane/Lolth/Orcus/Demogorogon, Beared Devils and Bone Devils |

I couldn't agree more. I was becoming frustrated that they hadn't updated the sword archons for 3e until the BoED come out. Guardinals and Eladrins aside, the assorted archons are among the list of my favorite outsiders.

It's discussions like this that remind me of a question I once had about why WotC released BoVD first...
A book about Lawful and Good outsiders has been lacking since the days of 2e. While for evil outsiders...nearly every PS tome detailed some form of evil planar creature...

I apologise Alaundo...
Anyway, I'm not sure about Dargoth but I think it would be better to close the other scroll since he does intend to update this one semi-regularly...

Well met
Indeed Mayhaps further discussions on these Giants of Legend should continue over here. I see particular reason to carry on two scrolls on the same subject.
Thank ye. And ye should both know better
I decided to open this one so it would supply a centralised location for links to pics of the GOL minis.
If you dont want 2 threads open then Im happy for you to close the old thread |

Oh that's great news . I've been sitting on some unfinished solar racial stats for a few months now. I have just enough time to finish them before these minis are released .

Not that I know of. I'll admit that my Greylore isn't what it used to be, but from the background about ol' Mordy in the ELHB, it seems to indicate that the Circle of Eight is still a fully functioning political entity. Granted most citizens of the Flanaess distrust the powerful mages, but they still stand ready to combat any dominating power groups.
Here's an FR mini question - Are we going to see all of Mystra's Chosen in miniature format?
