Alarmingly behind. In fact, I've read very little beyond the Salvatore books. But I've been collecting them nonetheless, and last night managed to just about finish the collection. Early next year I'll begin reading the entire series, in the order they were published. Yes, it's a ludicrously monumental undertaking, and it'll take me a few years most likely, especially considering I'll be wanting to read other non-FR books as well, but it's something I've been meaning to start for a long time now.

Finished Sword Play last night. It didn't wow me, but it was entertaining at least. Now moving on to Dangerous Games.

Just started Sword Play, after I was finally able to get the whole series in great condition.

Just finished 'Condemnation'. Good stuff. Whatever else you might want to say about Richard Baker, the man knows how to write.

Just started 'Obisidian Ridge'. I liked 'Master of Chains' and I think I'm going to like this too. Does the first chapter introduce Faerun's first masked vigilante? I'd like to know...

I'm just ahead of you Red Walker. Just finished Dangerous Games and really enjoyed it. I thought it was much better than Sword Play, which I thought was all right. Now on to Mortal Consequences.

Had some minor surgery yesterday morning, so I had nothing to do but lay around and read for the rest of the day. Finished Azure Bonds and started the Wyvern's Spur. Azure Bonds was great. Does anyone know where I could find more info on Phalse?

Finished The Wyvern's Spur last night. It wasn't what I expected. It was more of a mystery than an adventure/thriller. It took a while to develop and overall I was a little disappointed.

Since Song of the Saurials takes place after the TOT, and I haven't read the Avatar trilogy yet I'm moving on to Shadowdale.

I was up to date prior to the release of 4e, but since that time I've largely stopped buying any more FR novels. The only exceptions to that including wanting to finish out the Haunted Lands trilogy, and also finishing up the Twilight War series (pretty much anything that Paul Kemp touches, because he's a damn fine writer, even if I abandon what FR is turning into with 4e).

Aside from that however, with all the radical changes to 4e, the setting ceases to hold my interest and my money will be going elsewhere. It's really a shame, because I liked the setting. I hope that a few of the frequent FR novel authors publish work outside of the Realms because I'm liable to follow them there.

Finished Shadowdale. It was the first book I've read by Scott Ciencin and I thought it was excellent. I'm going to read Shadows of Doom next.

I just finished Plague of Spells and absolutely tore through it in a day and a half. Makes me want to go back and read his earlier stuff, as there's obviously some character overlap with his stand-alones. I just started Twilight Falling, which is also rip roaring right along, and am sort of simultaneously reading an older one, Star of Cursrah, which is full of lore-y goodness.

My Realms novel, Sandstorm, is now available for ordering.

Bruce Cordell has a history of turning side characters from his earlier books into protagonists. Raidon was a side character in Stardeep. Kiril was a side character in Darkvision. Ususi was a side character in Lady of Poison.

I haven't started them yet, but I just found two books of the Double Diamond Triangle Saga at cover value in a (relatively) local gaming store! I'm so psyched about reading them, though they are the the 7th and 8th books in the series, so I'm not sure if I want to read them out of order.

Done Shadows of Doom. Started out well, but it seemed to drag on too long. I found myself just wanting the wanting the story to be over about 2/3 through. Oh well, Cloak of Shadows is next.

Good read, I was lucky enough to find Murder in Halruua as well, and liked it.

Finished Mortal Consequences and really liked the trilogy except for one thing. It was to contrived that in the last battle Sunbright lost an eye so as to be equal terms with his lover Knuckle.
