| Indeed, I'm much the same, as I've said before. And for what it's worth, I enjoyed the "Moonshae" trilogy -- but that was mostly due to the nostalgia factor. They were the first novels for the Realms, and its also where I started with them. So I have fond memories of them, as such. |

I think you would enjoy find the book interesting, Allistair, since you're fond of dragonborn--- they have a lot of screen time, much more than Aoth's. I on the other hand find them boring, which adds to the disappointment. Too many battles, too little story. It's like I'm watching a poorly done anime.
I'm about halfway through. Aoth looks like something out of Captain Power http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Captain_Power_and_the_Soldiers_of_the_Future....okay maybe not, but looking at it, it came to mind...

Imagine if they did one today based off all the novels so far?! That would be a HUGE undertaking, and would require several thousand pages, if not more. Such a book (or series of books) would cost a lot...and I would buy it. |

I have now finished reading Whisper of Venom. The only FR novel left to read for me is Pool of Radiance: Ruins of Myth Drannor (or is it attack on Myth Drannor??) anyways - that and the new Drizzt short stories book that my local store does not yet have in stock (and subsequently, all not yet published novels). Woohoo!!
Also as far as FR products, I am reading Drizzt Do'Urden's Guide to the Underdark. |

I am still wallowing in the new novel drought of January/February 2011 as I have read all novels published to date and can't wait to get my hands on Sandstorm in March |

Finished Shadows of the Avatar triology...that was fun!
Now since my stack is de-void of new FR novels....do I re-read some more classic fr or break down and buy a new novel? |

| I just finished The Ghost King. I wasn't really attached to many of those characters and I still felt bad for them after that one. 1 Drizzt book to go now. Time to start Gauntlgrym. |

Buy something, read it, then re-read a classic, rinse and repeat.
Shadows of the Avatar I read twice. Definately fun! |

Well, I'm done with Gauntlgrym. If it weren't for Jarlaxle being in the FRCG I would be worried that he might not survive this newest round of Drizzt book. I am going to be surprised if anyone other than Drizzt survives at this rate.
I'm going to read part 3 of the Prism Pentad for Dark Sun next because I would like to get through them at some point, especially with new Dark Sun books coming out.
After that, it's probably back to the Realms. I've got about 40 Reaalms books that I own but have not yet read. I'm debating on starting a trilogy (either the Avatar trilogy, which will end up being all 5 books, or the trilogy that starts with The Azure Bonds) or reading a stand alone. If I go with the stand alone it will be so I can read Sandstorm when it comes out. Anyone have any advice on either trilogy? |

If you like reading about gods literally bashing and maiming each other and bickering like pre-schoolers, then grab and read The Avatar trilogy. Prince of Lies and Crucible: The Trial of Cyric the Mad are far better than their predecessors, though. |

Tyrant, if you're planning to read Sandstorm the moment it comes out next month, then I suggest don't read a series at this point of time, unless you can finish them real fast. I recommend you read the EG Presents Waterdeep stand-alone books. |

I've already read all of those. A trilogy would probably have to be pretty gripping for me to read through it before Sandstorm comes out. I've got a few stand alones to choose from. I'm leaning towards Hand of the Hunter or maybe something older like Lost Library of Cormanthyr. Or I am going to read Ghostwalker or Depths of Madness to round out the Erik Scott de Bie collection. |

Bought Gauntlgrym and Hand of the Hunter.
Started Gauntlgrym......couldn't get past ch 1. Really dislike dahliA and seeing as how she is a major character.....I'm just not going to waste time with so Ethnic that doesn't work for me. Took it back.
Then opened up Hand of the Hunter........love it so far.....just like mark's previous FR novels. |

| Bought the Salvatore Drizzt anthologies/short stories book (forget the title) yesterday and read all the shorts I hadn't read before (three of them, the one from Dragon magazine, the one from the Highwayman, and the new one)....will continue reading Pool of Radiance: Ruins of Myth Drannor. |

| I ended up settling on Ghostwalker and I finished it today. I have started Depths of Madness. Maybe I should've tried to knock out a trilogy. Sandstorm is likely next if I can get it on or very near release. |

Pool of Radiance is not bad so far, considering what it is (dungeon crawl video game adaptation). On the side I am simultaneously reading a non-FR book, Chris Jericho's 2nd autobiography. (the WWE wrestler). Good story and written with much humor . |

Wrestling fan/wrestler (in the minor leagues known as the independent circuit anyways ). But yeah, Triple H will likely retire soon after Wrestlemania and he just starred in a movie, so it could be a possibility if they do plan on making a Drizzt film sometime soon. And I agree, he does have the look to play Wulfgar (Massively huge muscles and long blonde hair). |

Maybe Brigitte Neilson to play an older Wulfgar? |
