Arrgh, it's probably too late for any pre-orders then...
if you preorder you'll probably get your minis as part of the 2nd wave which comes out a month later.
So the question is,is a months wait worth saving 4-6 dollars per expansion? |

GOL minis will be 29.95 RR (Yes thats Australian Dollars) Critcal gaming in Sydney is taking preorders at 23.95 per expansion
Dargoth,
Does this company have on online site? Or are they just a walk in store?
Has anyone bought pre-orders yet? I guess at this point pre-oders are only going to be for the 2nd wave as you said...I am wondering if I should just wait for the release and try to get some direct from EBay.

Finally, a worthy looking Gnoll mini . I've never been a big fan of gnolls (I've even started using the sibeccai [along with the corruption rules] from Monte's AU to replace them in my campaigns), but it's nice to see one of the most under-used monsters in the entire game finally getting the attention it deserves.

I think it had more to do with the bad distribution of the Harbinger Gnoll |

Going over the collection list provided with WOTC's warband generator http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/mi/20031113x I have noticed a small trend (maybe just coincidence). But the 01 mini of each set has been a cleric. Harbinger - Cleric of Order Dragoneye - Cleric of Moradin Archfiends - Cleric of Lathander
So I expect that (if this trend is to continue) we will get another cleric as the 01 mini of the GoL set. But what cleric would qualify for this GoL expansion? (So far we have had Greyhawk, Demihuman and FR thus far) Care to take any guesses?

You missed a few
Theres a Halfling Cleric of Yondalla, Elven cleric of Cleric of Corellon Larethian, Cleric of Gruumsh and a Drow Cleric of Lolth in Harbinger
A Druid of Obad-Hai and a Cleric of Nerull in Dragoneye
A Cleric of Kord and a Cleric of Bane of Bane in Archfiends
I imagine well see some more Greyhawk and FR Clerics and maybe some Dragonlance stuff (Aparently Lord Soth/Death Knight was on the origional box art for GOL)

Having examined it Id say LG wont get a Cleric in GOL
LG Harbinger: Cleric of Yondalla, Cleric of the Order. Dragoneye: Cleric of Moradin. Arch Fiends: Cleric of Lathander
CG
Harbinger: Elven Cleric of Corellon Larethian Dragoneye: NONE Archfiends: Cleric of Kord
LE
Harbinger: None Dragoneye: Cleric of Nerull Archfiends: Cleric of Bane
CE Harbinger: Cleric of Lolth, Cleric of Grumsh Dragoneye: None Arch fiends: None
Every other faction only has 2 Clerics, LG has 4 |

Yes, I do realize there are quite a few other clerics , but I am talking in terms of the numbering order for each set.
Because the numbering is based on LG faction first and then by alphabetical order Cleric has appeared as the 01 fig in each set.
Arguably this trend can be broken if the GoL set comes up with a LG faction mini with a name starting with an A or B. But I wonder if they will go with a cleric just to be consistent.

Actually a Fiendish T-rex is a monster you can Summon with Summon Monster VIII |

Hey great! I wont have to use my transformer Dino-bot toys anymore.
But honestly what I am really hoping for is a pegasus mini. The wings always broke on my lead versions. |

Ah, the iconic Red Dragon. I'm surprised this wasn't included sooner. When most people think of D&D dragons, the good old Red is usually what first comes to their minds...

Yes, that may be true, but the Huge category is the critical concept here. Afterall, a smaller red dragon mini hardly fits with the common perception of a majestic and immortal entity.

You couldnt fit a Huge mini in the packaging of the previous expansions so a LArge Red Dragon was big as they could do.
Ive just worked out that there isnt a known unique Huge for the LE faction in GOL yet.
The following are monsters that are both Huge and LE
Aboleth Displacer Beast Pack Lord Blue Dragon Mature adult Green Dragon Adult+ (Unlikely as where getting one in Aberations)
Malebranche HellFire Wyrm
Paeliryon Xerfilstyx Shadow Giant
Ghartula
Dracolich of a LE Dragon ie Blue or Green Pyroclastic Dragon Young Adult+ Rust Dragon Adult+
Banelar
I think the likely contenders are
Hellfire Wyrm Aboleth Huge Blue Dragon Banelar Pyroclastic Dragon
