Personally, I would get the most use out of the Aboleth or Dracolich.

I don't have the FF or MM2, but has the Purple Worm been done away with altogether in 3E? It was always a classic huge monster in my eyes.

The deepshadow elf is interesting, although I find the tanarukk more to my liking, and as such, more useful for my campaigns...

Thanks Dargoth

Lord Soth? Wow. Well, if that turns out well, I might have to pick up a copy of the Knight of the Black Rose...

A blue is a psionic goblin. I'm not that far into the XPH, so I don't know if they made the conversion, but they were in the 3.0 Psionics Handbook.

Eberk is a dwarven cleric of Moradin-the secondary iconic cleric character(the first being Jozan.)

Ooh, and don't forget Spectre of the Black Rose as well... No Lord Soth collection would be complete without that particular Lowder novel.

*Evil FR Laughter*

Im glad they did Lord Soth as he was a potential Rivial to my campaign for a Nightmare Riding Scyllua Darkhope.

Lord Soth was also known for riding a Nightmare and its unlikely WOTC would do to mounted figures riding Naightmares.

As I recall, Lord Soth only rode his famous Nightmare on very rare occassions. There's virtually no mention of it in the two RL novels...

Anyway, I think we should probably drop this portion of the mini discussion, as I am sure Alaundo will be along shortly...

I've already got copies of both-I was referring to Soth himself as the Knight. Unfortunately, that doesn't look like a good mold-I'd hoped he'd more mysterious, less aggressive-more of the kind of Soth I like.

We have an incomplete GOL list

http://www.lemonbutter.com/dd/gol_preview.html

Ive made a few guesses on what some of the unamed minis might be

16/72 Grey Render?
24/72 Crucian or Walking wall
39/72 Serpent Guard or Shining Hand Monk
41/72 Blue Sladd?
44/72 Drider Sorcerer
45/72 Drow Archer/Cleric/Fighter my moneys on the cleric (hopefully she has a snake whip)
46/72 Drow Rogue
52/72 Iuz the Evil
69/72 Fomorian

What has me really curious now is the King (33) and the fact that he is Large. Is this a real king (an ogre or small giant perhaps)? I can't recall any from GH DL or FR who were well known in name. Or maybe a play on a monsters name?

Just My Thoughts
Chyron :)

People are speculating that the "King" is the Fire Giant King from the oldG3 Hall of the Fire Giant King

Ah, so we are going to see some Slaad minis. Excellent... Here's hoping that the death slaad finally receives the attention and detail it deserves...

The Blue Slaad has now been confirmed and so has the Drider Sorcerer as has King Snurre the King of the Fire giants from G3, we also have 2 minotaur minis a regular large minotaur and a Minotaur skelteton

Iuz the evil is not in, that figure is Labreth the Beautiful an NPC from Temple of Elemental

Ah, Labreth is even better...at least for me . I fashioned my own "Iuz" from assorted GW miniatures many years ago, and so have no need for any particular D&D mini that represents the dreaded 'Scourge of the Flanaess'.
