Personally, I would get the most use out of the Aboleth or Dracolich.
I don't have the FF or MM2, but has the Purple Worm been done away with altogether in 3E? It was always a classic huge monster in my eyes.

Lord Soth? Wow. Well, if that turns out well, I might have to pick up a copy of the Knight of the Black Rose...
A blue is a psionic goblin. I'm not that far into the XPH, so I don't know if they made the conversion, but they were in the 3.0 Psionics Handbook.
Eberk is a dwarven cleric of Moradin-the secondary iconic cleric character(the first being Jozan.) |

Ooh, and don't forget Spectre of the Black Rose as well... No Lord Soth collection would be complete without that particular Lowder novel.

*Evil FR Laughter*
Im glad they did Lord Soth as he was a potential Rivial to my campaign for a Nightmare Riding Scyllua Darkhope.
Lord Soth was also known for riding a Nightmare and its unlikely WOTC would do to mounted figures riding Naightmares.

As I recall, Lord Soth only rode his famous Nightmare on very rare occassions. There's virtually no mention of it in the two RL novels...
Anyway, I think we should probably drop this portion of the mini discussion, as I am sure Alaundo will be along shortly...

I've already got copies of both-I was referring to Soth himself as the Knight. Unfortunately, that doesn't look like a good mold-I'd hoped he'd more mysterious, less aggressive-more of the kind of Soth I like. |

Ooh, I don't think I care for the Manticore mini, although the Bronze Wyrmling is interesting. I wonder whether we will see any others?

What has me really curious now is the King (33) and the fact that he is Large. Is this a real king (an ogre or small giant perhaps)? I can't recall any from GH DL or FR who were well known in name. Or maybe a play on a monsters name? |

People are speculating that the "King" is the Fire Giant King from the oldG3 Hall of the Fire Giant King |

Now that I look at the box covers now I would guess that The Fire Giant King is the one being portrayed.....ah blessed ignorance, it has long served me well. |

Ah, so we are going to see some Slaad minis. Excellent... Here's hoping that the death slaad finally receives the attention and detail it deserves...

Ah, Labreth is even better...at least for me . I fashioned my own "Iuz" from assorted GW miniatures many years ago, and so have no need for any particular D&D mini that represents the dreaded 'Scourge of the Flanaess'.
