Lore [F&P, iirc] has it that Bane, Bhaal, and Myrkul were once mortal adventurers who craved power. They finally got that after slaying one of the Lost Seven Gods; and then they too became Gods.
Questions:
1) Who were the Lost Seven Gods? 2) Which one of the Lost Seven Gods did they slay? And how so? 3) In what time period (Dale Reckoning or even Pre-DR) did this all take place?

As far as I know there hasn't been a canon answer to who these Seven Lost Gods were. Well one is for certain and that is Moander, he was killed by Finder, with some aid of Tymora. Now some sources say that the seven lost gods are the ones from the old phanteon of ancient Netheril. Other's that they came through during the Gods War. Others that its the phanteon of one of the creator races. Perhaps you should ax Eric about this since he kind of like discussions about the Seven Lost Gods, or so I have read Sorry Mr Boyd, Sir.
Any how that's about it, any one feel like correcting me, go ahead, I am not a church guy any way |

Mr Boyd answered this a long time ago. :)

For some of us, books are as important as almost anything else on earth. What a miracle it is that out of these small, flat, rigid squares of paper unfolds world after world, worlds that sing to you, comfort and quiet and excite you... Books are full of the things that you don't get in real life - wonderful, lyrical language, for instance, right off the bat. - Anne Lamott, Bird by Bird

Hmm but is it counted in as Canon fluff? At least it explain things more clearly than my earlier mad ramblings |

I'd say it is because Eric referenced and wrote up text about them in various 2e sourcebooks.... :) But he might correct me or George will. |

Hmm... wasn't there a god named Chronos or something similar? He was the god of time, I read that somewhere. BTW, wasn't Amunator (sp?) one of teh Lost Seven Gods? |

Chronos is Labelas according to Demihuman Deities. It's one of his aliases. And I don't believe Amaunator was one, but I could be wrong. |

Coz Amunator was a really ancient god. He was the God of the Sun, and the Sun has been around since the start of time so it could be possible that he was around during that time. |

Except he basically reincarnated into Lathander, so I doubt it. :) |

The Seven Lost Gods have been one of Eric's pet projects for a long, long time. See the "Cloak & Dagger" web enhancement by Eric for the canonization of his thoughts on the matter.

There was also one listing a timeline of Westgate. :)
