I've been thinking, do dwarven babies have beards growing already? I read through Dwarves Deep but couldn't find any information about that.

No.

Baby Dwarves are usually considered 'Ugly' even by their parents at birth, due to the lack of facial hair which leaves them looking very much like a human baby.

The beard would kick in during early puberty!

Yeah, can you imagine feeding a baby - who's messy already - with a beard? So much would get stuck in that thing!!!!!

If I remember correctly in one of the newer Drizzt novels theres a young (close to adult) dwarf who is just getting his stubble/beard grown in. It alludes that dwarves are not "adult" until they have a full-grown beard.

Adolescence is adolescence in any warm-blooded creature, even if they are well endowed with flowing beards!
As a dwarf ages from puberty, the beard grows, and grows, and grows...
Man this question brings to mind some really odd imagery.

How do dwarves manage their beards when they grow older? In warhammer they tie it around their waist when it gets long enough. Do the beards of realmsian dwarves grow that long too?

If I were a ranger, I would pick NDA for my favorite enemy

Funny you should ask.
Just drop down to the Candlekeep Compendium on my sig and check out volume one. The Hammer's Stroke gives a little lore about dwarven beards.
