Well with such a level range a hit will only be on a natural 20. Still that's 2000 hits.

However if you read Heroes of Battle the point is that in war you don't send elite units to slaughter hundreds of rank-and-file soldiers. Characters in war will often be fighting challenges suited to them, since they are needed to stop the opposing army's 'elite' units

Why are you taking him on? What magic items do you have and what is your plan to defeat him?

You will wipe the floor with him even without ANY items... why would you need to be more effective in a duel? "To be at your very best", and just to show how mighty you can be... the ultimate drow armed to the teeth with the ultimate equipment?

As i said before i prefer safety. Plus in my campaing he has been beefed up a bit. We added 5 ftr levels and 7 rog levels, plus we reinstated him as a chosen of gilgeam (it is a plot twist, oh my a resurrected god )

I still don't get the entire affair...

Let's just assume you gain 1k XPs per session, current level x1000XP for a new level...for an ECL 45 you need 44.000 XPs just to reach level 45, I don't really wanna look up how many xps you need, needless to say, if you played once a week you'd have to play 44 sessions to gain 44k xp. It's simple math...and tons of powergaming... *sigh* why do I even bother?

Mace's not so gentle gamer's journal My rants were harmless compared to this, beware!

Is it a bit like pro-wrestling?

Death is Life
Love is Hate
Revenge is Forgiveness

Ken: You from the States?
Jimmy: Yeah. But don't hold it against me.
Ken: I'll try not to... Just try not to say anything too loud or crass.

I just read through the whole 3 pages...

...and have only one question (I'll be gone after that, don't worry!)

@Kane: How old are you (i.e. not your character (290), I mean you as a _real_ person)?

Righto. You've all had two warnings about keeping on topic.

I think we're done here.
